Boiler repair in Walsall and the Black Country
Most boiler faults are a part, not a new boiler. We carry the ones that fail most often, so a fair share of jobs are sorted the same visit rather than becoming a week of cold showers while something gets ordered.
What usually goes wrong
On the estates around Palfrey and Pleck there are a lot of combis fitted in the mid-2000s that are now at the age where the diverter valve or the fan starts to go. Further out towards Aldridge it tends to be pressure faults and expansion vessels. Either way the symptoms look the same from the kitchen: no hot water, or heating that fires up and drops out again after a few minutes.
The common ones, roughly in the order we see them:
- Low pressure — often a leak somewhere on the system rather than the boiler itself, which is why topping it up every fortnight is a symptom, not a fix.
- Fan or PCB failure — the boiler locks out and shows a fault code. Read the code off the display before you ring anyone; it saves half the diagnosis.
- Diverter valve — heating fine, hot water lukewarm, or the other way round.
- Frozen condensate — every January, and it is usually twenty minutes with a jug of warm water rather than a call-out.
What it costs
£85 to £180 for the call-out and the first hour, which covers the diagnosis and most common repairs. Parts on top if it needs one, and you get told the price before anything is fitted, not after.
How fast
Same day if you have no heat and no hot water. Next day for anything that can wait. If it is going to be longer than that we say so on the phone rather than leaving you in.
Why this page exists. A page per service is how a trade site turns up when somebody searches "boiler repair Walsall" instead of just the company name. It has to read like a plumber wrote it and name real places, or it ranks for nothing and reads like filler.
